cleaning device. In addition, led the conceptual project plan for the development of a toothpaste
dispensing operation located at the injection modeling facility.
o Led the design, prepared equipment specifications and conducted equipment inspections for a new one-
gallon plastic bottle line. Prepared specifications and purchase orders for installation contractors.
o Led an engineering team to design, install and start-up a Bag-n-Box packaging line (Bucket system,
Cartoner, Baggers, and Shrinkwrapper). Developed the mechanical and electrical contractor's
specifications for the installation of the Bag-n-Box packaging line.

Tuskegee University Physical Plant. Performed budget, payroll, scheduling and contract management. Served as

Kev Accomplishments
o Conceptualized and developed two methods for the addition of chocolate chips to an extruded dough rope
for improving finished cookie appearance.
o Managed personnel to perform statistical analysis and experimental design in the pilot plant. Trained
personnel to mix, form, bake and evaluate doughs for experimental trials.
o Led the technology development of the extruder and rotary moulder. In addition, assisted with mixing
and baking equipment technology development for the Duncan Hines cookies.
o Led the energy team to develop ideas and implement plans for the reduction of the plant's electrical
demand. This saved the company $85,000.
o Developed savings package to upgrade coal-fired boiler controls. The result was an annual savings of
$233,000.
o Identified cost savings of $225,000 by delaying the start-up of a new turbogenerator until after the ratchet
period.
o Developed a $185,000 savings package and managed the installation of a steam venting system.
